How to start trading your token

A token made on MakeCoin starts with its whole supply in your wallet. Nobody can buy it until it has a liquidity pool: a pot on an exchange that holds your token on one side and SOL on the other, which traders swap against. You open that pool yourself, and it takes a few minutes.

What you need

  • The wallet that holds the token.
  • The token's mint address. It is on the screen after creation, and in your wallet under the token's details.
  • Some SOL for the exchange's creation cost, and more if you choose to deposit SOL as liquidity.

Pick an exchange

Meteora can open a pool with your tokens only. Buyers bring the SOL, so you pay just the creation cost, which Meteora shows before you sign.

Raydium needs SOL next to your tokens. Creating the pool costs about 0.2 SOL on top of what you deposit. The more SOL you put in, the less each trade moves the price.

Meteora

Open meteora.ag/create/dammv2/launch and connect the wallet that holds the token.

  1. Base Token: paste your mint address. Quote Token: SOL.
  2. Initial Price: the price of one token in SOL when trading opens. With a supply of 1,000,000,000 and an initial price of 0.00000003 SOL, the whole supply is valued at 30 SOL. Meteora shows this value as Initial FDV on the review step.
  3. Liquidity Distribution: Single-sided, to deposit only your token.
  4. Base Token Amount: how many tokens go into the pool. The rest stay in your wallet.
  5. Max Price: the top of the range. The pool sells your tokens between the initial price and this price.
  6. Base Fee Mode: Fixed charges the same fee on every trade.
  7. Trading Start Time: Now.
  8. Check the review step, including the pool creation cost, then create the pool and approve it in your wallet.

Raydium

Open raydium.io/liquidity/create-pool and connect the wallet that holds the token.

  1. Choose Standard AMM (CPMM).
  2. Paste your mint address as one token and pick SOL as the other.
  3. Fee tier: 0.25% is the default.
  4. Enter how many tokens and how much SOL to deposit. The ratio is the starting price: 500,000,000 tokens and 5 SOL start the token at 0.00000001 SOL.
  5. Review, confirm and approve it in your wallet.

You receive LP tokens, which are your claim on what is in the pool. Raydium can take a few minutes to show a new pool in its search.

After the pool exists

  • Jupiter finds new Meteora and Raydium pools on its own. Your trading link: jup.ag/tokens/YOUR_MINT_ADDRESS
  • Make one small test buy before you share the link.
  • A pool with little in it moves a lot on every trade, and Jupiter can stop routing to a pool that is too thin once the token is no longer new.

Locking liquidity

Meteora has a "Permanently lock my liquidity" option. Buyers tend to trust a pool more when its liquidity cannot be pulled out. It also means you can never withdraw what you deposited, so tick it only if you mean it.

Field names are from the exchanges' own guides as of October 2026 and can change. Meteora, Raydium and Jupiter are separate services that MakeCoin does not run.
